As part of the Economic Justice and Empowerment
Program, committee members agreed to form a local People’s Budget
Review Committee with representation from various community organizations,
and block clubs. The goal of this project is to increase the influence
of low income people, neighborhood residents, and working people in
Akron and Uniontown in making decisions that affect their lives, which
result in greater resources to address pressing community needs.
