Dana Williams, Co-Clerk of the Northeast Ohio American Friends Service Committee (or AFSC), the sponsoring organization of the public hearing, opened the event. Read his entire statement in pdf form HERE.
The panel included Mike West (Representative from Sherrod Brown's office) and Frank Kunstel (ACLU). Senator's Dewine and Voinovich, and the Department of Defense were invited to attend, but declined.
